'HOW TO' GUIDE FOR OUR ICING & RICE PAPER TOPPERS
We have found the easiest way to remove the icing sheets from the plastic back cover is to:
1. Remove the icing sheet from its re-sealable plastic bag. Try to avoid putting warm fingers on the top of the sheet (i.e. handle the plastic back edges).
2. You should be able to peel pack the plastic backing sheet. To do this, place the edge of the icing sheet on a flat surface, pull the backing sheet down away from the icing sheet i.e. by pulling the edge of the plastic backing away from the icing sheet. Alternatively, use a pallet knife and slide it gently under the image.
3. Once you have removed the backing sheet place the icing topper immediately on to your cake or cupcakes. To affix the icing topper, slightly (very slightly!) dampen with water the area where you will affix it.
For Buttercream, place the item directly onto the surface.
Once it is placed on the cake do not move the topper around as it is delicate!
NB: If you have difficulty removing the icing topper from the backing sheet, place in a cool, dry area for a few minutes, then retry.
RICE PAPER TOPPERS
Edible rice paper looks transparent but the printed colours come alive when placed onto your iced cakes.
If your rice paper toppers are not pre-cut. You just need to cut around the images with scissors.
For the perfect cup cake spread or pipe butter cream / icing onto your cake and pop the cake topper on top!
Store in a cool, dry place, with other food products, and ensure the rice paper toppers do not get wet.
